FAO Namibia will be holding a Training of Trainers on Fall Armyworm and Tomato Leaf Miner, from 20-24 August 2017 in Otjiwarongo.

WHO’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) will be on a polio active-case surveillance in Oshana region – as from 21-25 August 2017.

IOM will have a Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting for the Migration, Environment and Climate Change (MECC) project on Wednesday, 23 August 2017 from 08:00-12:30. The members of the TWG will come together to review the 2nd draft of the MECC assessment in Namibia.

 WHO, along with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS), in country stakeholders, partners and NGOs involved in managing malaria control programmes at national and regional levels, will be having a Malaria Programme Mid-term Review meeting on Friday, 25 August 2017. WHO will be leading the discussions.

On 26 August, Namibia will celebrate Heroes’ Day, a national observance dedicated to remembering heroes and heroines who fought for the freedom of Namibia.
