monday-menu-october-31-november-6The World Health Organization Namibia and the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) with technical support of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) are hosting the Training of Trainers II (31 October to 01 November) and courses in Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) II (2-5 November) at Safari Court Hotel and Conference Centre, Windhoek.

2 November is the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists. Did you know that over the past decade, more than 800 journalists have been killed for bringing news and information to the public? On top of this, only one in ten cases committed against media workers over the past decade has led to a conviction. Learn more about the importance of why we must #endimpunity:

On Friday, 4 November, UNFPA Namibia will launch the UNFPA State of the World #Population Report. “We must use all of the tools at our disposal, from dialogue and mediation to preventive diplomacy, to keep the unsustainable exploitation of natural resources from fueling and financing armed conflict and destabilizing the fragile foundations of peace.” -Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the #Environment in War and Armed Conflict, commemorated each year on 6 November.
