UN4U is an outreach programme which brings UN officials to speak to students in their schools. It is aimed at communicating the work of the United Nations in the simplest terms for all children to attain a greater understanding for the work of the UN. It ultimately teaches how the “United Nations works for you” on a daily basis. The programme covers the history of the UN, its structure and works through various agencies. The programme is hosted annually in Namibia prior to UN Day which is commemorated 24 October worldwide.
During the UN4U 2015 programme, UNIC Windhoek reached 3633 primary school learners in Windhoek. The programme is an interactive teaching session which leads the audience to understand the UN and its goals. Invite the UNIC Windhoek team to your school and learn more about the UN.
